Le Basta - Biarritz

It is only a snack bar, but it has loads of benches just next to it, and all along the seafront nearby too. We had filled baguettes with chips the baguettes were fresh, the meat was fine and the chips were hot. Food and drinks for 2 came to about half what you pay just down the road at the beach front cafes... but fine dining it isn't!

After a very busy morning walking and exploring Biarritz we decided to have a 'fast food ' lunch so we could sit outside and continue to enjoy the sunshine. We came across Le Basta which is just up the hill from the Grand Plage. Service was friendly and quick and the bill was really reasonable for a double cheeseburger, Paninin Roma for a vegetarian and Sprites. It is a typical cheap outlet. It filled a gap and was really friendly. Lots of people were using this outlet from the beach as it saved them from getting changed for lunch.
