Bidrage med feedbackI have been a patron of this restaurant for over 30 years, through changes, in chef and management.. I had lunch in December 2019 with my mother, who lives near by. I had the best Curry Mussels, I have had anywhere in the world, and I travel the world regularly. I live in Japan , and commute to Virginia. The service may be a bit slow, but when you come to eat and savor their food you do not want to slop through your food. The prices are accurate for the food you get, I have yet to find better mussels anywhere, I'm still trying to replicate them. There are good days and other days for everyone, I thank them for being a lovely place to go with my 91 year old mother, nearby. Bravo Belfountain Inn, I will be back as soon as this Covid 19 thing allows!
We intended to go here for Valentine's Day but were unable so we decided to go the next night and invited neighbours to join us. It had been years since visiting and I have a fondness for the area in general so was looking forward to the visit. Arrived at 6 and struggled to find parking....the place was already busy. Greeted promptly and cheerfully and taken to our table. While we perused the menu the server brought water
A lovely stop to see the Fall coloured leaves and have lunch in this quaint Inn at the Forks of the Credit village. On Thanksgiving weekend we were lucky to get one of the few tables not already reserved for lunch. We had the day’s special which was veal liver on mashed sweet potato with red cabbage. The liver was so tender, it melted in your mouth. Dessert was Affogato which was vanilla ice cream topped with cubes of biscotti and had espresso poured over it all. Delicious! Coffee was rich and full bodied too. Worth a visit.
After a delightfully strenuous workout at Forks of the Credit Provincial Park, our son and daughter-in-law surprised us with a brief drive to dinner at Belfountain Inn. The outside of this restaurant is country rustic, while the inside has more of a minimalist, clean, modern feel. While the restaurant was full, it did not feel crowded . The menu choices were staggering! We were welcomed with cucumber water and fresh bread and a humus type spread on our candle lit table. Then the four of us decided to order beer, wine and six starters and two full dinners of bison and elk —-all to share. Everything was excellent and we ate until we were stuffed and we had no leftovers. And then we kept ordering .....now dessert coffees. Since we were celebrating a wedding anniversary, we were surprised with sorbet topped w a sparkler.....for the four of us to share. Two more things to note: 1. the server was also the owner. She treated all her customers with such care—-pleasant and a real perfectionist with precision to detail. 2. Make a reservation or you may miss out on tasting some of the best food in Canada.
Nice and cozy place with generous size and reasonably priced courses . I had the fish chips and brussels sprouts dishes and both were great
