Peninsula - Bay Shore

My boyfriend was in the mood for Chinese. We decided to order from here as it's only about 10 mins away. He went with the boneless sparerib combo platter. Ribs were delish and not at all fatty. They weren't too sweet either. Fried rice was yummy also. It was different than what we're used to, but it was still super flavorful. An egg-roll came with his combo meal. I had a bite and it was very flavorful. It wasn't too greasy. It was nice and crisp. I ordered wok ginger glazed chicken and shrimp. Flavor was very good. Generous amount of both chicken and shrimp. We also ordered cheese fried wontons. They were very yummy. Not overly fried and not too greasy.

I actually would rate them 3 1/2 stars but since you don't have half stars I'm gonna put it out at four star. The people are really nice here and the food is your classic Chinese food. The decor has some really cool statues and a Koi pond however a lot of it remains dated. They really could use some alterations and the decorations apartment and they could utilize their space more efficiently since it's such a large restaurant it appears like there's only a handful of people eating there. They definitely have room in the back for a hibachi table or something like that nothing like that has been done. That said we do like the place and we will go back for classic Chinese, which is good. The food quality is nothing over the top but also not bad at all it's what you would expect and hope for with Chinese food in the classic style for many years.

I live on the complete opposite end of town, and I still go out of my way to come to the best Chinese food place, as far as I'm concerned, within miles of my house. I had my husband pick up a takeout order and they had accidentally forgot some thing, they went out of their way to deliver it... Aside from the food being awesome, the staff is wonderful... That's how you run a business! Very accommodating, very clean very delicious, just an all-around great place! I'm so glad they're in my town!

I used to go here for lunch almost once a week. They had the best Hot 'n Sour soup and served fine Asian cuisine. I went there for lunch today and to my horror, a sign was posted stating that they have closed. I wish the owners luck. :
