Il Caffe Italiano - Bandon

Visited for late lunch on basis of good reviews. Taglieri at €18 was very disappointing…no breads, one wet white cheese, inedible ‘Parma ham’. I question the credibility of the great reviews.

The pizza here used to be good, unfortunately it not longer tastes the same as before. If you like something similar to flat bread with an abundance of cheese this is for you. If you like authentic Italian pizza probably not for you.

Called again here several times. Had an exquisite breakfast made to order by the Italian chef. I m here now and I m having sweet ricotta tart homemade- everything is) with jasmine iced tea. The smells coming out of the kitchen with their preparations for the evening are making my mouth water even more! What amazing standard of cuisine on my doorstep! Just fantastic!

We had lunch here recently, my husband said his pasta was nice but nothing he couldn't have made at home. My pizza was under-cooked and soggy. Really tasteless, I left most of it. The homemade ice-tea was nice. Shame about the food as the staff were friendly and the restaurant was very clean.

What a little gem this is! I called in there one morning and had their great coffee and a wonderful home baked brioche/scone thing. It was fab! Along with the WiFi and the warmth I’ve had to keep calling back. I had this beautiful sweet square of cake the next time; there was hazelnuts, pear, and yoghurt in it. It was so good I asked them to bake me a whole cake of it for an occasion I was attending. The next time I went there, I had a wonderful evening, the food was delicious and interesting. The combinations got us talking. The service is on point. Highly recommend!
