A great place to take overseas people for the view of Auckland. Even at night the lights are spectacular. The proprietor was very friendly and helpful. We ordered the steak meal. Good balance of food with lovely fluffy potatoes on the inside and nice and crispy on the outside. Came with roast tomato, kale and prawns. It was a good sized portion, not too big and not too small. In fact we didn't order dessert but purchased a couple of their muffins to take home for supper later in the evening. We were there on a wet chilli evening and enjoyed ourselves but I think sitting out on the deck area in the summer would be fantastic.

The place was welcoming.the people who served us were polite and chatty. we were well served. the food wa nice with a very nice scenic view. will come back to visit this cafe again.. :

If you’re on your way to Piha and want to stop off somewhere good to eat or have a drink pop off to Elevation for sure. Had a pretty great breakfast and talk about servings, could have made it one and a half breakfast meals. I had the full breakfast which had Bacon, sausage(chorizo), smoky mushrooms, eggs, tomato, potato hash and toast. One of the best breakfast I’ve had in a long time. My wife had the Mountain Benedict with a poached egg served on potato hash with capers, spinach and hollandaise sauce and smoky mushrooms but you can choose bacon or salmon instead of the mushrooms. Lovely breakfast with a view. Will definitely be back for sure.
