Bidrage med feedbackWhat a hidden jewel! There are so many Asheville-based restaurants on OpenTable and I'm on OpenTable for everything. This restaurant was great. Great food and service. No one was there! Two tables and that was it. Certainly his not on the main strip on Broadway, but I recommend doing the stop.
It was a disappointing meal for some reasons. First we were told that there would be a 45-minute wait for food from the kitchen because they had a big table that overwhelmed the kitchen. Since we didn't think we could get reservations last minute, we decided to stay. We ordered salads that it was considered easier for the staff. They came in a reasonable time, and we were told we could certainly order Entrees so we did. They immediately came that we still ate our salads. The food was cold.... When we were asked if we were satisfied with our food, we expressed our disappointment. After a while, a young man asked us again. He left while we were talking. Later we were told he was the manager. The food was good when it was warm. The staff was polite, but they seemed very sick ready to run a fine food facility.
Excellent brunch food was wonderful, and the service was great. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
The real highlight of this restaurant is the staff, friendly and attentive. If you stayed at the hotel and were looking for a quick place to eat, I could recommend the writer's bistro. The food was nicely plated, but was only average in taste and a little above price.
Interesting menu. Great place for pre/post theatre, as it's right behind the ACT theatre. Foodisdelicious.
