Hungry Bear Cafe - Asheville

See this on maps near our hotel, had great reviews. And I agree with them. Food was great and very valuable for what we have. I'm very busy and I didn't even have to go home. Definitely comes back to lunch in Asheville.

Loves this place as a local! The room is a little small, so it can sometimes seem really busy. Service is always friendly and the food is nothing imagination, but tastes delicious?

I was in the area and always loved to eat a little mother and pop place. The place was clean, except the bathrooms. I think they could be cleaner. I had to use the men's room because the female bathroom door wouldn't close. I ordered the grottos, bacon and eggs and my husband ordered the other one on the photo. Breakfast was great, except the dikes. They had no taste and they were very watery. I'm a grit lover and I'll get her with my breakfast. Idk, if it's just the cook, but I never had soupic geese. I would like to come back to this place in the future, but I hope they can do the next time right.

Dear Hungry Bear. Your breakfast is the best. Good mother and pop shop. My wife and children love it. Waitresses are always beautiful and at the point!

The Hungry Bear Cafe is a friendly, down home stop for breakfast with the locals. I'm so glad we passed by all the chain restaurants to try this spot out. Some of the tables/seating are a little awkward, but it all works out fine. Service was friendly and efficient. Our food arrived quickly and was prepared freshly. My omelette wasn't dry, which I appreciated. The fluffy biscuits are fantastic with some butter or even apple butter.
