Bidrage med feedbackFirst what I didn't like: Upon arriving we were given a tent style number and told to enjoy the bar. We had no idea how we'd find out our table was ready. Turns out someone has to find you. There should be the buzzers that every other place has. The bar was so packed, there was no way to order a drink. There needs to be a place to walk up to if all the seats are taken. If you're under the age of 60, you'll feel out of place. This place is geared for the older crowd. Now the good: The food is amazing. The server we had was helpful and seemed happy to talk to someone that hadn't lived through the depression. We were there for our anniversary and were given a free dessert and a $10 gift certificate that doesn't expire. What was good about this place outweighed everything that was bad. I'd love to go back. Maybe on bingo night so it'd be a little less crowded.
We had another stellar experience at Mark's last night. Friendly, fast service at the bar, great waitress (Maggie) and of course Mark himself who makes it a point to make sure everyone of his guests are happy.... and the food!! Hubby always gets the Sauerbraten but when he ordered the waitress informed him that the kitchen was out of it. Shortly after being seated Mark came over to the table and asked if hubby had ordered the Sauerbraten again as he knows it's his favorite. After hubby informed him that they were out he said I think a fresh batch is ready about now would you like that instead and of course hubby said yes, but only if it's no trouble. ..... Hubby got the Sauerbraten and he said it was perfectly prepared, I watched him cut it with his fork! Mark worked some magic! My steak and sauteed veggies were fantastic! One of our favorite restaurants in Appleton. We'll be back again and again!
Picked up a variety of take out food last night. The crab cakes are the best I've had in the Valley. They've added Ahi Tuna to the menu and that too is the best I've eaten around here. I love liver so decided to try the Veal Liver. It was tender and wonderfully seasoned. Of course the steak and calamari we got were good too. As always. I'll be back!
Our server was very friendly. The food came out with perfect timing and the flavor was amazing. I had the salmon and my fiancé had the tenderloin stroganoff. We will definitely be back.
My experience was amazing! The waitstaff were warm and friendly and the food was fantastic! It was my first time and our waitress Liz told the owner (Mark who ended up stopping by our table and asking us if we had any questions about the menu. We chatted a little bit, he gave us some of his favorites and away he went. This surprised me the most, you don't see this very often in restaurants, and it was a nice touch. In the end I ended up ordering a filet mignon and it was done the way I asked, everything came out hot, and our waitress made sure everything was to our liking. Not once did I have to worry about whether my glass was empty or where my waitress was because she was so attentive. Nor did we ever feel rushed through our meal or afterwards when we sat at the table chatting for a while. I had a wonderful experience and I will definitely be going back :
