Anameli Bakery - Amityville

Lovely little bakery with beautiful cake designs inside. Cash only. I bought some buttery flaky bread there (like a croissant) and a vanilla creme-filled pastry. Both were delicate and satisfying (just sweet and savory enough). Definitely worth a try. It was $1.50 per pastry that I bought.

Yes! So we needed a cake for our engagement party and this brand new Bakery caught our eye. This place is predominantly spanish-speaking so just to let you know. This place is also currently cash-only. For all of you ladies and gentlemen that are Ecuadorian, Mexican, and/or Italian, they have something inspired by your culture. If you are not, come through and get a pastry or browse their wall of fame! So they specialize in cakes. They do cakes for all sorts of occasions and they can fill your cake with whatever you want. For our engagement party, we had strawberries, kiwis, mangos and peaches on the cake and it was filled with homemade yogurt and strawberries. It was delicious and everyone raved about it. We were glad to help out a local business by spreading the word and providing business to them. The price for the cake was great because he did it exactly how we wanted it. He was very accommodating to what we requested; they even prepared it on the morning of the engagement party, as they open at 5 am each day. Everyone at our engagement party left wanting more of that cake, and asking for the company's business card! So the cake was a success! In addition they also sell their version of ice pops for a dollar with three flavors available: Passion Fruit, Coconut, and ... Mora. Those are very tasty as well! Keep in mind that this place just opened up, so I think after they really have their legs under them, only way they can go is up. Now would probably be the time to order your cake before they get really busy!

Delicious cake! Second time at International Bakery, and loving their cake! Had real banana, peach and strawberry filling.
