Van Hemert's Dutch Oven Bakery Ames, Ia

I decided to review this bakery after seeing the advertisement on Hwy 30 on my way to North-Iowa for Thanksgiving. They had a nice selection of baked goods still available, although it was the day before Thanksgiving. I tried a Dutch letter that was as good as I was in Pella. A few other articles I bought, I found being too sweet, it took off to enjoy the real pastry. The staff were all very friendly helpful.

Raspberry cake! Rassberry varieties. I'm miles away and still wished I was in Ames holding her Rosssberry darts.

Order 165 donuts for a big event and every donut looked so good and the 2 donuts I ate were the best donuts ever. Also placing such a great order was extremely simple and they were very friendly, professional and efficient. Her price was also very fair. Best donuts ever!

The staff was very friendly and helpful and everything I got was absolutely brilliant! I ordered an icy raspberry Chai Latte, breakfast sandwich and a glazed donut. The service was also very fast, even with several other customers who had ordered food and drinks, which was great as I was in a little hurry. Very recommended and hope to be back soon!!

I ordered a cake at the last minute, and they did a great job even with short staff. The baker went out of her way to make what I wanted, and it turned out both beautiful and delicious. Thank you!
