Red Lobster Ames

We made our reservation using OpenTable, but unfortunately, our reservation did not appear on the host's stand and was only on the manager's computer. It was disappointing and frustrating to later receive an inquiry about why we did not show up for our reservation. We did arrive on time, but had to wait as if we hadn't used OpenTable to book a table.

Red lobster does not have to use an open table for a “Witlist”. There are waiter apps!! If you have a reservation here, it should be a reservation. Had a reservation and rolled 20 minutes. Empty tables everywhere. Had a lot of help, so it wasn't the problem.

The service at this restaurant is exceptional. The waiter sanitized the door to the kitchen while we were there, showing their commitment to cleanliness. The food is consistently good.

Was told it would be 20 minutes when we arrived. At 25 minutes I inquired how much longer. I was told 35 to 40 minutes! After becoming upset a table was found for me. I don’t understand how a 20 minute wait turns into an hour wait?!?!

The service was excellent at this restaurant. Four of us each had four small lobster tails, which were sweet, tender, perfectly prepared, and reasonably priced. We will definitely be returning for the same meal many times.
