Bidrage med feedbackAlthough the water level was at a ridiculously low volume because they were doing maintenance on the damn, the folks at the resort still kept their spirits up. The campsites were taken care of very well. We had sprinklers, and lots of room to roam. It was difficult getting down to the water, so we just stopped bothering with that, but there's a great walking trail, lots of room if you have pets, and other activities. Playground: You could definitely tire your kids out with all of the different equipment. On the walking pad alone, there is little handmade pieces that you can mess around on. Restrooms: Restrooms are adequate. The only thing that could use some attention is the hot water heater. There's one shower and one toilet in the men's room. So in the morning, that can spell trouble. Dog-friendliness: Very dog friendly. The only irritant is the fact that you have to keep your dogs in a leash. Picnic area: So many places to picnic!
Beautiful campground paved roads and pads. Decent space between sites. People are very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and the reservoir. Most sites have plenty of shade very quiet.
It's a great place. Only thing I did not like was the TRAIN dang it's sooo loud and close Dog-friendliness: All the dogs seem well behaved and our Dog loves the open green grass.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The sites were beautifully maintained and clean, we had a lovely patch of grass with a sprinkler we were able to use to stay cool in the hottest part of the day. The reservoir levels were low (they're working on the damn so purposefully keeping low levels) so we couldn't do much recreation but the beach had soft sand and the water was waist deep for probably a quarter mile, so very family friendly. I'm not sure if it was just my bad luck or if this is normal but the womens shower only had hot water for a minute or two before turning cold. My husband said he always had hot water even though we showered at the same time.
Really lovely little place. I stayed in the Cozy Cabin, it was great for the night and had a view of the lake, although it was a little musty smelling. The hosts were very nice and welcoming. I would have liked to give them 5 stars but there was only one small men's bathroom for the whole campground with a urinal, a toilet, and a shower. The bathroom was NOT clean at all during my time there, floors/walls/toilets/sink looked like they hadn't been cleaned in several days, and several things were in need of repair. Overall it was a solidly good place to stay.
