Great food, good variety on the menu, friendly, relaxed service. Definitely recommend. Would return any time.

We had a large group to dinner, they were very good for a pleasant evening. menu had a great choice, our group has sampled many of them and almost everything was up there. the personal service was excellent and one of the waiters who have been sitting in the usa for many years, spoke excellent colloquial English. the prices were very fair and considering that there are so few better restaurants in the city, we felt that this was a great place. By the way, her chilled white harbour with tonic cocktail was nothing I would have ordered before dinner, but 9 out of 10 of us all loved him!

Great place, friendly smile staff, good prices. for dinner at a stay in alijo instead of eating in our hotel. we have booked a table for the following evening, Friday, and they had only one table for two others. we don't really speak Portuguese, but one of the young who had lived in new york for 30 years was so helpful. prices very reasonable, clean, neat, good choice to wein.

We missed the place first when we thought the caffe was next door the restaurant. place is not so charming, but the owners and eating are. the goat cheese salad and the Brie salad were great appetizers. steak and dorade were also delicious. just ask them. the owner for his wine recommendation and enjoy

After a long, mountaineering hike to alijo we were glad that we had reserved a table for 19:30 when cepa torta opened. it is approx. 1/2 km for the center of alijo on an inconceivable block. within 15 minutes the restaurant was filled with locals. we discovered briefly why eating was as good as anyone we had in portugal during 3 weeks. the marinated pork I had were breathtaking. from the delicious alheira (local sausage) start to the MAPA port after dessert it was an unforgettable meal.
