The Confection Cottage - Aiken

Great desserts! And coffee. Update: I tried the ice coffee today, just awesome! We sat out on the patio, such a relaxing place to have coffee and cake.

One of the sweetest spots in Aiken! My wife and I discovered LaDolce almost by accident during our recent several-days stay in Aiken. We'd never been to Aiken before, we only were looking for a cup of tea at the time, and this place turned out to be the highlight of our trip. It's a nicely appointed tea room, clean and pleasant and bright, with helpful staff, a fine selection of tea (and coffee), and yummy treats. We returned to LaDolce every day that we were in Aiken and were delighted each time.

The place was very nice and clean. Service was kind and fast. Prices are a little on the higher side, but I can say I would come back to try more food items. The Americano had that bite I enjoy while still being smooth. My biggest complaint would simply be finding this place. With GPS I still passed it and had to turn around to get here, but everything else was enjoyable.

I stopped by for a cup of tea one afternoon a couple of weeks ago. The smallest bill I had was a $50 but the young lady behind the counter told me she isn’t allowed to accept $50 bills. So I said, “No problem, I have lots of plastic.” Unfortunately, she said she couldn’t accept credit or debit cards for less than $5. So, long story short, I ended up buying an overpriced and mediocre $6 desert in order to buy my tea.

Came here with my wife and sister. The coffee and quiche's are crazy good! The staff is great, polite and offers great recommendations! There is a nice and cozy tea room for special events to have tea party's for birthdays, baby showers or justbecause! Definitely at the top of my list for a hometown bakery/tea shoppe to visit!
