Kura Sushi Songjiang Nanjing Branch

Great value for money. There are lots of options for sushi, you can either take it from the conveyor belt or order it through your phone. We went to the Songjiang Nanjing branch and it was busy during lunch hour. Would recommend to go at around 12pm for good seats. We got the booth and I think it is much better than the individual seats. Interactive type of restaurant where you get to try your luck on the Gachapong for every five plates that you ate. We got lucky on the first round and got a little goodie. Would come back here again!

It wasn't crowded when we arrived but occassionally it became more and more crowded. Some of the staff keeps banging on the cupboard here and there so it was a little bit noisy. The staff on the cashier should be more friendlier and nice.

When we reach every 5 dishes, we can play the game to get a random Gachapon. What a great incentive to eat more (and spend more money LOL)

For a European, the prices are fair. It’s more expensive than what you can find for a meal in Taipei but it’s worth it. The fish is really good there, there is a lot of choice, and the staff is nice.

I looooved this concept! The sushi was fresh and there was a lot of variety. Most plates come for 40 NTD each which is quite affordable. There is also free matcha tea offered at the table. Overall it was a fun experience, would love to come again. 7-8 pm was the peak hour, had to wait for more than half an hour to be seated.
