Biner Backerei-Konditorei - Zermatt

We used to love the bahnhoff strasse branch of Binner However it has not been there for years We love the other Binner cafe near the river but wish that ,Binner would correct the address Anyone looking for it on Bahnhoff strasse will seek...in vain!!!!

We only had coffee and a ham/ cheese panini. If you would like the coffee shown, in Switzerland it’s called Latte Macchiato. The service was friendly and cafe was not too busy. Worth a visit.

This Biner café is conveniently located on one of Zermatt’s main little roads, at a corner by a bridge crossing, so you can easily stop in on your way back from the Schwarzee cablecar station, or on your way back from a Migros shopping expedition,...etc. Whether you want lunch or just a snack, you can eat inside or out, and you can order soup, pizza, etc. or just have tea and some goodies from the bakery counter (chocolates, cakes, etc It’s popular with “locals,” not just with tourists (you can see Zermatt workers fuelling up here very early in the morning, for example). It offers friendly (but not fancy) service, and we really like it for the simple and inexpensive food and the convenient location (the couple of tables outside even come with a Matterhorn view).

We visit the Biner near the train station for food for our train ride back to Zurich. They use quality ingredients and have a nice selection of sandwiches, quiche, chocolates, etc.

Nach unserer Ankunft in Zermatt haben wir auf dem ersten Erkundungsspaziergang einen Halt gemacht für eine Zwischenverpflegung am NachmittagDie Bedienung war nett und das Essen okay. Wir hatten einen Toast Hawaii und Salat. Die beiden Speisen waren okay.Die Sitzplätze draussen mit Blick auf das Matterhorn sind cool, allerdings auch direkt an der Strasse.
