Tilbagemelding
Bidrage med feedbackEs gibt leider keinen Barrierefreien Eingang/Ausgang.
I 've been going to Zell am See for years and love it....except for this place. There is one younger man that serves on the Station to the left hand side as you come in the door and he is one of the most ignorant men...on the planet. Let me give you specifics.... We were going to order some food, and seeing as I 'm in Austria I attempted to speak my limited German out of courtesy and asked for 'Lasagne und pommes ', to which he baulked back at me in an aggressive tone 'It doesn 't come with chips...no chips. You need to order only what 's on the menu. Look at the menu before ordering '. Then he turned around to his colleague to more or less give out about us in German. Then on another occasion, we went to the bar to order some drinks, which is where you would normally go in any other country in the world, and the same guy was there talking to another colleague for about 10mins ignoring us even though I tried to signal to him. He then eventually came over and told us that we should be ordering from the Station and turned around, walked about 2 yards to the Station and then got us to order from there. To top that off..the following day when we went to the Station to order some drinks as he was counting his till out (30 mins before closing time he grunted at us to go to the bar for it. He then came into the bar and as we proceeded to order drinks for all 15 of us, he started giving out that it was too much and we should go to the lady at the other Station....who doesn 't want business? And finally, as we were drinking a quiet beer at the bar, we heard him shout at some poor guy from Russia (according to him saying he doesn 't speak Russian and this is only for people who speak English or German. The gentlemen then started to point to the menu for what he wanted and he told him he doesn 't understand him and then turned around to his colleague and laughed and gave out about this guy as well. I would avoid this place like the plague solely based on this guy alone. I think charging for the toilet is a bit cheeky and then don 't advertise all that well that you can get this refunded if you bring your receipt to the till for you meal/drink order...just don 't forget to collect your receipt or the owner will take all the forgotten receipts from the machine on his frequent walks to it, to avoid anyone else availing of the benefit. It is expensive, but most places up any mountain are. I would expect that a company that are in the business of hospitality would have general manners and decency and have some respect for customers spending their very hard earned cash 'only ' (as they don 't take credit cards here....I wonder why that is ; ...taxman...cough cough. Nowhere else on the mountain is like this, so can 't be a cultural thing....is purely ignorant and disrespectful and seeing the last few comments it appears I 'm not alone in this. Now that my kids no longer need to avail of ski school at Middle Station, I will be taking my business else where.
Only home from another fantastic week in Zell Am See. The only negative from the whole week was dealing the staff in this restaurant. They have the monopoly of having all the various ski schools travelling on the city express gondola and it really shows...in their manner. The owner (who resembles a skinny version of Santa Clause) seems to have more interest in gathering the left behind 50c reimbursement vouchers from the toilet toll machine than he does in serving behind the bar. Was left at the bar for 15 minutes waiting to order some drinks even though both servers made eye contact several times yet decided to turn their backs to continue their conversation. The toll for the toilets does seem to work as they are very clean but their is very little advertisement as to the fee being returned when you purchase something from the restaurant hence the owner constantly loitering around the machine collecting left behind vouchers. Also worth noting that only one voucher is permitted per drink/item. The food is OK but nothing special. Do yourself a favour and head for the various restaurants at the Areit Express or head to Panorama where the food likely be better and the service is certain to better. Have visited this place for several years and won't be back.
