La Palapa Mexican - Yucca Valley

The waitress was very friendly and was familiar with many of the other customers at the restaurant, giving a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Was mostly empty, but it was a late weekday afternoon. The grilled seafood was good, but the burrito was simpler than most. Therefore I would recommend going for more of the seafood themed dishes to get the best that they offer.

Nina took great care of our party. She went out of her way to help us have the perfect, authentic lunch experience. All of my guests wanted to leave personal tips, and my company pays 20%. She deserves a visit from everyone reviewing this restaurant. Don't be fooled by outside appearance!! The inside is comfortable and the bar has great appeal. We hosted a two day seminar in the Cantina section adjacent to the bar.

The food was delicious! I thought my Tia from Mexico was in the kitchen cooking, it was that good. So good!

I forget that this place is in Yucca. The inside of the restaurant looks old with odd decor -seems clean. Staff are super friendly. We ordered the shrimp ceviche and deep fried shrimp with spicy sauce. Delicious! This day the shrimp was fresh.

Food is pretty good except for chips and salsa, which is the indication of a really good Mexican restaurant, IMO. Chips are not warm, and salsa is runny, not chunky.
