Melville Hotel - YORKETOWN

The restaurant's dining room is elegantly decorated and the staff is very attentive. When you go up to the counter to place your order, a friendly staff member is always there to assist you. The meal is promptly served with a lovely presentation and cooked perfectly.

The staff was very friendly and the meals were served promptly in generous portions. The prices were great as well. Definitely would recommend.

The night with my friend in the clean comfortable room and decided to dinner in the pub in the night ordered thai garnelen salat, steak and salt and pfeffer tintenfisch. they are all made with love and care. I had my best garnel and tinted fish. in this pub. my friend also said that the steak was great. a thing that somehow surprised me that the inkfish were only 5. We have ordered an escape, but I expected a little more than 5 : the next morning we were standing up and sitting outside and a dame came with cleaning equipment and we began to talk. She said she cooked last night. I said to her that the dishes were boiled to a perfection and obviously made with love, only the size of the part of the ink fish broke my heart. She said I thank them for being honest and she said she took this on board. then we started talking about ourselves. she said that the business is difficult with coronavirus and she has recently lost her mother, she has 2 cats and a beautiful dog and a new born big child. very sincere chat. we ordered carving and fish and chips and wow! I couldn't believe the size of the serviettes. I always eat my carvings and the size of it has not blown up! a huge piece of wonderfully cooked and prepared dish my eyes had drinking joy and thanks to this great lady tracey she really took it on board what I said to her earlier. such an amazing gesture. the waitress also asked if we wanted any drinks, as tracey would like to offer us, so I had a beer. I had to take the meal as a farewell as it was huge and we had it as dinner with my friend in the night. I wanted to thank you for being wonderful gentle soul tracey. I pray that the business takes over and the financial full flows to them what they do, as I know they do with love. I pray that many nicest people visit their pub and bring joy, happiness and money to their business and their family. if someone wants to eat an honest, with love cooked meals, they try melville pub.

Highly recommended. beautiful family hotel with exceptional service, great rooms and delicious generous meals. when they do the walk the yorke, they do one like and make a little way around here!

Sort of undergoing renovations, but still had some charm. Service wasn't bad, and also has a nice beer garden as well. Didn't mind the place.
