Bidrage med feedbackWe came to the Angus Glen Gold Club for Sunday buffet today. You just opened this season for the first time. The price was $36 for adults and $18 for children. You have custom egg, pancake / waffle and pasta stations. They made me a mussel and I waited pasta with tomato sauce. Fresh jumbo shrimps, mussels in salad bar, roast beef, hot meat (chicken, pork, salmon), vegetables, desserts (macarons and various types of cakes) and fruits. Non-alcoholic drinks are included (apple or orange juice), tea and coffee. The tables are appropriately distanced. You have an Easter and Mother's Day special brunch that is an additional $10. We'll be back.
We were a group of four, went there for lunch during a weekend. We ordered the food came as usual. We finished our plates and want to order coffee and expect the server to take away the empty plates, like a normal restaurant. We waited and waited, I have to say that we have been waiting for more than half an hour with our empty plates and food flies around us without service or attention. We saw that waitress was busy cleaning up empty tables, but our table didn't seem to be her interest at all. We waved to one of them and told them we would like to drink a coffee and ask to take away our empty plates as there were food flies. The waitress told us all right and will be back to clean the table. But to our disappointment we waited long without coffee and our empty plates were not taken away. We saw another waitress continue to clean other empty tables and I must wave to her and asked to have our table clean as the food flies were really annoying! She replied she wasn't our server and she didn't know where our server was and she continued to clean the empty tables without visiting us. We waited patiently to the same waitress (which we order coffee and ask to clean the table) and we waved to her. She asked oh, your coffee hasn't arrived yet? After all, she brought us coffee and cleaned our table. She wasn't our original server either. We finally saw our server, it seemed that she worked elsewhere and just came back to the ground. Another value was the place was so loud that we have to scream to talk to each other, It was like a lunch in a Dimsum restaurant where, as this is a golf club with beautiful views. What a disappointment! The whole experience was terrible. The service, the noise and the food flies!
We had a large group for lunch at the Silo Grill the service was exceptional and the food came fast and tasted good. Prices are reasonable and the portions generous. If the weather is good, the terrace overlooks a beautiful environment... of greens and forests.
I ate here while my husband was golfing. Service was fantastic and food was divine! The staff was so nice that I waited for my husband to finish his round. I ate in the dining room and then read on the terrace where they served me drinks, and then lunch on the veranda when my husband finished golfing. Would go again!
I made a reservation for my sister's birthday on Sunday afternoon, but it was a huge disappointment. The afternoon tea experience did not live up to expectations. We were seated in a large, cold room with loud rock music playing. The food was mediocre at best. The brown square of bread for the smoked salmon was hard and stale. The only decent item was the roasted veggie wrap. The scones were more like tasteless tea biscuits, and the shortbread cookie was overly sweet and soft, no better than a sugar cookie. The fruit skewers and tea were the only highlights. The service was average.
