Bidrage med feedbackStaff were friendly, we were there on a motorbike festival weekend so the café was a little overwhelmed at breakfast with multiple orders , but the food was good and the coffee was nice .
Dropped into Mad Mo's for lunch when we were in York last week after it was recommended to us by a local. Cafe style with indoor and outdoor seating, basic but clean and full of people at the time we went. The menu was varied and the prices very cheap, from $8:00 for a Devonshire tea, to the most expensive meal of Lemon Pepper Snapper at $18. All of the hamburger patties are home made and you could tell. I had a Mo's Beef Burger for $10 which consisted of a delicious, juicy beef patty complete with fried onion, bacon, cheese, barbecue sauce and salad- enormous! With a side of fries to share- a complete meal. Each member of my party enjoyed their meal and commented on the serving size and tasty food. I couldn't fit a muffin in but couldn't resist buying one to take home to eat later. At $5 ea they were a bargain! One point to Chef Mo, perhaps an apron or changing your shirt to cover cooking stains would be a suggestion, I am glad I didn't see you before I ate or I would have missed out on a great lunch! We will definitely be back!
We had a late lunch of the seafood platter. Large plate with fish, squid rings, prawns, crabstick, chips and salad. Well cooked and very tasty and good size serve. Staff were friendly offerring us water at the table. Very reasonably priced compared to other places in town.
The burger and chips were spot on and the service was quick and friendly. My mate had the chicken parma and it looked pretty good too. Good value for money too.
Would not recommend to anyone....we were there on 16/082016 for lunch had steak and salad the steak was just a slither of meat but the salad was okThe staff were friendly although the cook was untidy and had dirty clothes which put me off my food ......won't go again
