Bidrage med feedbackBeautiful corner Italian restaurant with a good selection of drinks, pizzas and pastas with a few solid appetizers (like a grilled pear kale salad that I enjoyed). The prices were also very solid. We ordered the margarita pizza and a watermelon mule. All our dishes were a bit lacking in flavor and salt but were still pretty good. The atmosphere was beautiful but just felt extremely dead. We went at dinner time, around 6pm, on a Saturday and there wasn't anyone else there for over an hour. Our server wasn't the best at explaining the menu and it felt like they were a bit inexperienced. Overall I would recommend going to this place but it did have some awkward moments.
Our service was great.Atmosphere was ok. They should remove the overgrown plants from the windows but it was clean and pleasant.Food:The fried mozzarella curds were good. The arrabiata sauce that came with them needed to be cooked down more and lacked heat. It was more of a marinara than arrabiata. The menu left a bit to be desired. There were mo standard pasta dishes to be had. If you wanted alfredo sauce, you were getting zucchini noodles. If you were getting lasagna, they used kale instead of spinach. We went with pizza figuring hey they have that big wood fired oven so that ought to be their thing. Not so much.I got the braised pork and grilled peach pizza.Stingy with the meat. (See photo) I was expecting slices of peaches with grill marks. The peaches, during peach season, were canned peaches that had been diced into tiny cubes and sprinkled around. The crust was so wimpy, the center of the pizza flopped around. I could not pick up pizza slices. I had to eat it with a fork and knife. I wasn't impressed.
Great experience. Portion was perfect size not enough for leftovers but it's filling. I had the Crab Pomodoro and my son had the kids pizza. Both were excellent he ate the whole pizza even the crust which he never eats! Service was prompt and friendly. She checked on us frequently. It reminds me of a less expensive more casual Tutonis which I found out is their sister location. The menu was full of fresh seasonal options. The only thing I would complain about is the $2 bread, for a Surcharge I expected fresh baked from their pizza oven but instead it was 4 thin little crostini, the kind you would use to make bruschetta. I would still return again. I like that it's near cantina and collusion. You could make a little restaurant/ bar hop.Kid-friendliness: My son loved the pizza!Dietary restrictions: I noticed the menu offered a variety of dietary options
Fantastic food- the waitress tonight was so sweet. The vibe and place is amazing! Eat here and then hop over to the Cantina for drinks!! I’m dying to see this more busy so they can thrive! Come eat their amazing reasonably priced food!!
By far, York’s best restaurant. Caliber of a much bigger city. Wait staff is always stellar, friendly and knowledgeable. Can’t wait to return and bring friends.
