Ye Olde Starre Inn - York

This pub can be a bit noisy, but once you adjust to it, it has a lovely atmosphere that feels cozy and welcoming, thanks in large part to the staff (particularly John and Millie). Our overall experience was fantastic.

Located in the heart of York's tourist center, Ye Olde Starre Inn may not be considered a "local" pub, but it is a delightful spot for a drink. The pub is spacious and beautifully decorated with dark wood furnishings, panelled walls, and decorative glass accents. The cozy atmosphere, created by the various nooks and crannies, made our visit enjoyable. The service and ales were excellent, making for a pleasant experience overall.

We had a fantastic experience dining here today. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was outstanding. Our server, a friendly bearded man whose name we unfortunately did not catch, was welcoming and attentive. The atmosphere was charming, and overall we had a great time. Thank you to the staff. We definitely plan on returning in the future!

Nice city centre tavern with great range of Ales including a cracking pint of Theakstons Old Perculiar the food was reasonably priced and was served quickly. Nuu in ce lad from Shropshire behind the bar didn’t catch is name but a good welcome.

Fantastic spot in the heart of York. The almost hidden archway opens up into the courtyard of this vibrant, friendly pub which all adds to the generally welcoming feeling you receive upon entering. We were greeted by friendly staff and smiling faces even in the depths of a bustling bar prior to Christmas.
