Bidrage med feedbackLocated in the Intercontinental Hotel on the second floor, this Italian restaurant has a buffet on Sundays (not sure about other days call ahead . We found the selection to be more limited than other buffets but the quality of the food was generally good. Pizza was freshly cooked in front of you and the other dishes varied between salads (including Parma ham, assorted salami , chicken, roast beef, pasta, rizzoto (first come first served, small portions and cake. The latter was excellent. Soft drinks are available, but other than a limited drink offering (grapefruit juice, orange juice, ice tea, ice coffee etc. drinks are sold separately. Staff were efficient and polite, although a little quick to remove our plates. The dessert bar proved a hit with my family. Although the cakes are small there was a wide variety, including Panna cotta, tiramisu, raspberry with pistachio, and more. There is a view over the water which I have heard is good at night. At time of writing, the cost per adult was about 3,700 yen per head, and children approx 1,400 yen. Although this isn 't cheap, it is reasonable considering that this is an all you can eat buffet in a five star hotel and the overall quality of the food and service is high (no tipping expected or required. I 'd happily eat there again given a chance.
Located in The Intercontinental in Yokohama, La Vela is a high brow Italian restaurant that uses local ingredients for its dishes. The view is exceedingly excellent at night, with a full view of the harbor and the giant ferris wheel that lights up the night sky, but not annoyingly so. The dishes are exquisitely made and they accommodate special requests as well, such as slight mixing and matching menu items (and even birthday artwork on dishes, which my friend graciously arranged). The staff is excellent and can converse in English. It is expensive but worth it. Reservations required.

Came on a long weekend Monday lunch and the place was full, they have two seats and we were at the 1130 around 1300om they are conspiring you out. Compared to many other hotel buffets there is not much, but quality was decent. Roast beef was pretty good. The pizza and pasta is made before you (the pizza was really good) The atmosphere is not so special. Overall, it's pretty good and it's worth going.
