Lazizah Bake Shop - Yantic

The food is delicious and reasonably priced at this restaurant. The owner is quite the character. While technically considered takeout, there is plenty of outdoor seating and we enjoyed a beautiful day.

The food at this restaurant was either too spicy or bland. We were excited to try it after reading the menu and the staff were friendly. The prices were reasonable and the ingredients were fresh and high quality. However, the four of us all agreed that the beef shawarma was overly spiced with a dried-out tongue sensation, making it inedible. The garlic chicken sandwich was also bland and the cabbage soup, while fresh and hearty, lacked flavor. The sweet potato coconut soup was decent.

This is the best soup I have ever tasted in my entire life! I am not exaggerating at all (I always give honest reviews). While the man serving may not be charming to everyone who enters his shop, he is genuine and the food is fantastic. His wife is the chef and she is incredibly kind and talented. I am deducting one star because the interior of the restaurant is not very pleasing, but sometimes the best food comes from places like these! There is no indoor seating, but plenty of outdoor seating available. I would have enjoyed sitting outside for longer if it wasn't so hot today. Thank you for the Tai Chicken Soup! The photo does not do it justice at all. I will definitely be back for more soon! ????

Makes me wish I lived closer. Found this by chance while we were staying near Mohegan, and it was incredible. Owner is a delight and the food was out of this world. I love cauliflower, and I don't know how they got the cauliflower to taste like that.Absolute best! Will definitely come again anytime I'm in the area.

Baseem (owner) is very friendly. I will stop every few months and see him frequently on the Bozrah Farmer market. I've never been disappointed. The ingredients are so fresh and made with love! I'm addicted to Babanousch. Very recommended.
