Bidrage med feedbackMy 92 year old Mother wanted to dine here after having a wonderful lunch here a year ago. We decided to get out and enjoy the aspen on the way over Gore Pass. We drove 48 miles thinking we would have lunch here, again. I checked the website to be sure we could eat here. It said Open. Upon arriving here, there were 2 other vehicles. So, we got out of the car and read the sign on the door in disbelief! There was a woman inside behind the counter and when my Mom asked if the restaurant was open, she came at us like a Banshee, yelling Did you not read the sign? The sign said, they were only open for the hotel clients. So, why is the website not saying this?! Why not just take the restaurant off the website, because it’s not open for the public. I won’t drive 96 miles for nothing, ever again.
When they will serve you, it's great!! The sign on the door says it's for hotel guests only, but one nice woman served us lunch even though we weren't staying at the hotel. Stopped in a couple other times and the other workers refused to serve us even though it was empty. Wish they would serve you if they weren't too busy. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
24 hr diner in Yampa, CO?!? Heck yeah! Eggs are solid and coffee decent. Considering where you're at, this is about as good as it gets. Can't ask for much more before a long hike in the Flat Tops! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
I e been eating at Penny's for years. Every time I go to South Routt county, I try to stop in and grab something to eat. Dig the old 50s style diner and the menu choices are all very good.
I was refused service for not being a hotel guest. If you are not a hotel guest, they will not serve you. Seriously? Won't serve a truck driver who's on the road. That's pretty low. I've got half a mind to hook a chain to your diner and take it with me. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
