Isla De Lobos - Yaiza

Desayuno a la carta durante la estancia en el Hotel Princesa Yaiza. Una experiencia deliciosa, café muy bueno, sandwich muy bueno, tortitas, yogures artesanales, una carta extensa y variada. Atención de 10, gracias a Wendy que nos atendió y al resto del personal.

Visited with my partner and opted for the 12 course tasting menu. The food was delicious and service delightful. Each course in the menu provided something new and exciting, our favourite course was the wreckfish sancocho. Found the price very reasonable for what was included

Stopped to the a la carte breakfast as couldn’t face the bun fight in the main buffet breakfast. Only had white toast, which came cooked on one side. Worst of all the cooked breakfast, which I only have on holiday, was less than Luke warm, with cold poached eggs, something I had never experienced before. I would have said something if @ny of the staff had come anywhere me in the next 20 minutes or so. When I pointed this out to the waitress who eventually came I was greeted with a lost look so can imagine that shape didn’t understand. This is supposed to be a 5 star Hotel. Judge for yourself.

We stayed at the Princesa Yaiza for a week and ate at all venues that were open (Tapas closed). Bearing in mind everybody has their own experiences, expectations and perceptions I give this place 5*. Nice spacious venue with good views. All staff were attentive and customer focussed. The menus had a good variety of dishes, none of which I had seen elsewhere. The flavours and textures for what we ordered were loverly. We ate here twice during the week and selected different things each time. We never left hungry. If you want big portions and to pig out this is not the place for you. I have learnt that eating in restaurants is a social experience and for me this venue hits the spot. As said, good service, no rush, loverly food that you won’t get elsewhere and we for one did not leave hungry.
