Leroy's Blue Whale - Yachats

When I visit the Oregon Coast LeRoy's is a must. I've been coming to this restaurant for 30 years. Awesome fish and chips. Clam chowder is amazing and the pancakes are divine. Oh and the apple pie! You have to try it.

What great service!! The walk to Leroy’s was easy but more importantly the food was amazing. We ate breakfast there on several days while vacationing in Yachats, OR. OMG the pies!! I tried the strawberry/rhubarb AND the fresh blackberry. Wish I could get takeout but I live in middle America.

Delicious breakfast! Loved that I could get egg, pancakes, and bacon/sausage for such a great price. Our waitress, Diane, was extremely attentive and yet allowed us the time we needed to talk and eat. You'll love the blue whale painting on the wall and the fact that this location is easy in-easy out. Returned later for a bowl of clam chowder which was, by itself, a delicious experience. I might have to come back tomorrow, if I don't have time to come back later today!

This place stood out along the highway with lots of parking and a nice free-standing building. Many restaurants in this little town seemed crowded. The Blue Whale had a stream of customers come in while we dined but the friendly staff got everyone a seat. I would say with the reasonable prices, good food, and excellent service this place was like a friendly cafe or diner. My go-to when I see them on the menu are clam strips, and these were perfect. Yummy. My husband had the oyster stew and was happy with that. We enjoyed the stop!
