Maya Grill - Xcalak

Went to Xflats in January 2024 and had an absolute blast. Toby and the rest of the staff ensured we were well taken care of and helped us with any questions we had. The guides are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about their fishery. They’re willing to do whatever it takes to give their guests opportunities for the fish of a lifetime. We met great new friends and memories that will last a lifetime. Special thanks to Cole at Angling Destinations for coordinating the trip for us and the owners Jesse and Danny for helping us prepare. I will definitely be back.

Nothing short of incredible. The guides know the water so well and are very communicative in order to set you up for great shots at fish. We saw incredible amounts of trophy fish here, and caught tons of reef species as well!

What a special place! From start to finish, my experience here was nothing short of magical. The lodge staff are all friendly and fun to be around, our rooms were cozy and well equipped with all that we needed, the food and drinks are incredible, and to top it off, the fishing was super productive for everyone this week. The guides are professional and knowledgeable, most of them are born and raised Xcalak, or have lived there for a long time, so they know the area like the back of their hands and know where the fish are. I'm so impressed with all that Jesse and his community have created at this lodge, and I already can't wait to go back. Thank you for everything, amigos! -Morgan
