Bidrage med feedbackGenerous portions. Somewhat untraditional takes on Spanish food but generally tasty. The market fish and sebiche were the highlights.
Nice tapas restaurant. Some great flavours in their dishes but probably not the most authentically Spanish. Highly recommend their tuna crudo and olive-covered beef tongue. My least favourite dish was their octopus which was not charred but already a bit rubbery. Great ambience though and a nice drinks menu.
Lovely staff, with excellent knowledge about their foods. Really friendly. Love their foods, interesting flavors, and ingredients. Found out bit too strong flavor for anchovies bread (sorry for forgot the name of it), but really glad that we could request more bread to add on it. Otherwise, delicious foods
Food was really tasty, and the portion was good. My favourite and most surprising dish was beef tongue, it was tender and flavourful, I am not a big fan of olives, but the myriad of flavours went really well together. Nothing bad I can say about Alma, food, service, atmosphere all great. But if I had to nitpick, it would be the cocktails were mostly sugar water with very little alcohol!
Late posting but we came here on a Monday night in January and it happened to be our last night in NZ. We had finished a meeting at the office of our NZ colleague in Britomart and we wandered around trying to figure out where to eat but the area looked completely dead since it was a Monday. We stumbled upon this place and they happily accommodated us and seated us at a table facing the street. I recommend this table since you are sitting side-by-side. Everything was tasty but the most memorable item was hands down the anchovy tomato tostada. Sure it was a bit salty but with vino and sherry it completed the picture!
