Peking House - Wycombe

The worst Chinese in high wycombe! I ordered through their app the food didn't arrive after well over an hour, I called the restaurant and they said they had delivered it. I said well not to me, the strange lady then started calling me a dodgy man and put a guy on he said the same sort of thing. I then had someone who could speak English call me back and say they would come out, they did they had delivered to the wrong address they went in and got the food from someone else's house and gave me the bag. I said it was cold as this was another 30 to 45 mins later and I asked the delivery driver for a refund he literally ran away, I called the restaurant again only to be abused further by the Chinese lady, another guy then phoned me back apologised and said he would organise a full refund through the app. The owners of the app then told me the restaurant had refused this. I would not recommend using this restaurant at all unless you want abuse, cold food and to basically be stolen from.

FOOD POISONING. This is the only time I’ve ever left a review for a restaurant and that’s because I’ve never been so ill in my life! All I ate this day was toast so there is no way it came from elsewhere. Twi hours after finishing the meal I was violently sick 6 times. After ringing the restaurant to try and get my money back for the meal that ended up coming out of me they denied it all even though after checking there food hygiene is 2 so that says it all really do not recommend

On the occasions when we have tried to change things up by ordering from a different Chinese takeaway, I invariably end up thinking should have gone to Peking House as soon as the food turns up. Very reasonably priced, decent food, and they seem like nice people too. This isn 't the best Chinese takeaway in the world, but it is definitely the best one in High Wycombe by quite a wide margin.

Discovered one incorrect dish out of 4 ordered. Food OK but we both later suffered night sweats and dry mouths during the night – classic symptoms of MSG (monosodium sodium glutamate). We have no doubt this was used in our order to excesss. Their menu should state they use this food addictive.

Third week in a row collected a takeaway for Peking house in Totteridge. And as before excellent food/service and value for money. I HIGHLY recommend this Chinese takeaway to everyone.
