Oberbergische Stube - Wuppertal

We were at the Oberbergische Stube for the first time yesterday and were positively surprised. What looks like a pub from the outside is a beautiful restaurant with pub character inside. My husband and I had two carvings and were positively surprised. The crowd was a bit much for us, the carvings are really very big. Here the carving is still pruned and you taste it. My husband was very happy about the Jever. And in summer the room even has a beer garden. The prices are also very moderate. Unfortunately we lacked some music in the background. That would still improve the ambience, but maybe only yesterday there was no music. We'll be back.

Definitely a recommendation! Large portions, fast and nice operation, pleasant atmosphere. Price/performance is simply excellent. We're coming back

Have read a report in the express and thought the food we will try. We were not disappointed. Very big portions. The carvings are nicely thin and crispy roasted. Unfortunately only salad with vinegar and oil not so our taste. But the salad was crispy and fresh. As additions, we had thin crispy pommes and roast potatoes. Modern equipped with old work. Parking behind the house at the cemetery. Like a small suggestion, it would be a more beautiful impression from the outside if you would clean the shop window and hang new clean menus there. Would go back to dinner when we're close.

Before Corona we were often in the Oberbergische Stube. In our opinion, the Schnitzel are the best in Wuppertal and the sauces taste very good. In addition, the roast potatoes are excellent. The service is typical mountainous and can look a bit brave on one or other visitors, but it is absolutely not. We always have a very good service here. Bergischer humor experienced. Now we were back with a total of four people in the Oberbergische Stube and it was good as usual. It is nice to see that the quality remains consistently good.
