As always very tasty and very friendly and courteous service.
The Italian restaurant Elisabetta presents itself in the outskirts of Wuppertal. Only in 2012 the operator couple opened the restaurant. More than 15 years ago, Remscheid Lüttringhausen was active with another restaurant. We had reserved and entered the restaurant. The first impression was hardly convincing. Something the atmosphere of Uncle Heinz Willy 's and Aunt Walburga 's Sunday lunch restaurant. Peas with carrots, pork roasts and the croquettes of the 70s are believed here. But I'm sure an Italian restaurant doesn't. Should I follow my feeling now and make it back on the paragraph? Actually, yes, but I could hardly sell it convincingly to my lady at this moment. Various appetizers, about 10 different salads, soups, omilettes, pizzas, pasta, over 15 different meat dishes, fish and the discreet indications that you will also find current fish dishes on a table. A table that no one showed us. We discovered them later on the way to the sanitary facilities. To my dear lady, I said that our order would probably be delayed for a good 30 minutes, as I would still have read until then. Again, the idea really came to me now, but again I lacked the courage. Hasimausi is not amused for such a way of behavior. You always have to wait with your prejudices. Indians were asked for drinks, the open red and the pils were served quickly. Finally arrived at the main courts, I almost asked the cardinal question. Are we really with an Italian? Was there in the map actually Saltimbocca offered with respect to French fries. Pommes fries in an Italian restaurant! Berlusconi bunga bunga , Enzo Ferrari and Eros Ramazotti would probably have died the hero's death before insulting his culinary homeland. What we ordered: Appetizers: 1x Vitello Tonnato 9,50 Euro , 1x Antipasto Misto 7, Euro Main dishes 1x Saltimbocca, but please with Pasta 17,50 Euro , 1x Scaloppina Milanese 18,50 Euro The order was added. Without any comment, without a smile, without giving the guest a security. Uncertainty increased, expectations went even further. While at our entrance the restaurant was only just half filled, it had now developed for full utilization. Almost every guest who entered was greeted personally. The share of regular guests was obviously over 75%. You have to work it out first. We'll wait for regulars here. We waited for a greeting from the kitchen. Now the service often communicated with the kitchen by calling instructions through the hatch that was opposite our table. The dialogues were largely conducted in Italian. Many instructions from the service to the kitchen, from there audibly came a little back. The service put some bread on the table, whose significance was not clear at first. It was a simple Amuse Bouche or already the bread for the appetizers. When the appetizers were served, it was quickly clear that a greeting from the kitchen was dispensed with here. All right, we can live with it. Let's turn to the appetizers. The antipasti plate was covered with some vegetables, Formaggi was looking for forgiveness, and the meaty salami and ham content had about the size of a coffee pad apology to me much no other comparison. No question, with 7. Euro the appetizer was very cheap. But what was served there was more embarrassing. The bread served was dry, no dip, no cream, no butter nothing! Curiously I looked at the appetizer of Hasimausi. A pink sauce with capers. It obviously had to be the veal. I was allowed to taste. The tuna sauce was thick, greasy and almost 100% gave the taste of the veal. Only the further consumption of alcoholic beverages helped. The service always served immediately, because the view for empty glasses was always present. Shortly after the appetizers the service brought to our amazement salads. These were probably one of the main dishes, but were served in advance. There was no real enthusiasm when the salads were consumed. Edeka We Love Food serves such salads ready packed in foil, durable several days. Rewe Better live offers similar. We could not live better with these salads or discover any love for food. My lady made the courageous note that they are looking forward to the main dishes. I just pulled the armpits. A tension was no longer present to me. We just consumed the salads, as the main dishes were already served, so too early. With me as expressly ordered without frittes. However, even without the ordered tagliatelle. First of all, both dishes made a proper impression in terms of orientation and presentation. However, this changed when it looked closely. Three really tiny little veal pieces were in front of me. Estimated good 125 grams all three together! No we are both explicit no followers of the Full Plate fraction. We prefer small portions. But what was served here reminded of Micro Essen. Only the veal could convince. Good meat, well prepared. However, the ham was so salty that it destroyed the proper taste of the veal. The plate opposite me also recorded lean about 125 grams of veal. The panade consisting of Parmesan was too thick and also overwhelmed the meat taste. Well, while I almost consumed my well 125 grams of veal, the service showed up again at the table. My tagliatelles were served in a bowl!! When I responded to this with the cynical remark that was added, the lady looked at me somewhat incomprehensible. You didn't understand my gag. Contrary to Hasimausi, the sorely grinned and thus turned to my side. I don't experience that much. Conclusion: We didn't complain. What should we also complain? Discussions about quantities do nothing. Whether served a lot or a little on the plate is always subjective. We forgot a dessert. But the palate cried after a grappa or Ramazotti. Otherwise, a feeling of wellbeing came back when we left the house for an Italian feeling of life. What should we recommend to the Padrone and his family? Rewe had earlier the claim, every day a bit better. Although this obviously sees various regulars differently. We only have to take a moment when little meat or fish was consumed at the other tables. Rather, from the kitchen Luke came mostly pasta and pizzas. Maybe these are the strengths of the house. We'll never know. No, we don't want to eat there again. For food maximum 2 stars, for service 3 stars and 2 stars for the ambience. Supplement on the same day. Very delicious food. Made with love and especially good ingredients. Go. The ambience is cozy and the beer garden is very welcoming in summer. Book in advance!
Very good kitchen and service! All additional requirements have been met and the Corona hygiene regulations are perfectly met.
