Auflauf - Würzburg

We had dinner here on a Sunday night. This unique restaurant was very busy so I would recommend making a reservation. The lemonade was delicious and the casseroles were large, hearty and piping hot. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals with plenty to share...around the table. I never saw a restaurant focused on casseroles before so this was a unique treat when traveling in Germany.

Me and my family visited the place last weekend and tried the great pasta in oven they offer. Was something different and pretty tasty although my one was really spicy, not really expecting something like this in a German restaurant. I had the men choice...and my wife took the one with salmon and spinach. Both were very delicious and more than enough. Also the request to prepare one with just tomato sauce for my daughter was accepted- she didn't really like it, but it was not because of the taste rather the way it looked. However we were more than happy with our choice and with the service we received and would definitely recommend to others if they want to try something different from the regular food you get everywhere you go. Try the self made lemonade as well- is really good.

Excellent home cooked food with friendly service easily accessible from the centre of Wurzburg. Picked the location up from the DK guide. Really well worth a visit if you are on a budget or want a quiet night out as a couple in a non-touristy...eatery. Loved it. Can 't understand why this is only 51st in the ratings! 41 euros for two course meal for two with two drinks each.

Grundsätzlich kleines nettes Lokal mit schönem Ambiente. Es gibt kleine Vorspeisen,Suppen,Flammkuchen und Aufläufe...ergänzt durch Desserts. Bestimmt gute Zeiten und endlich mal richtig heißes Essen, aber es sind halt nur Aufläufe. Wenig variabel und etwas fade. Mir hat das Besondere gefehlt. Mehr Auswahl an Käsesorten, Gemüse und Fleisch wäre zu wünschen. Trotzdem wer günstig ein schnelles Essen haben möchte in gemütlicher Umgebung ist hier richtig.
