Poe's Tavern Wrightsville Beach

I had about 25 minutes waiting, but that wasn't too bad. It was very busy. The food was amazing. Peyton was very friendly, all smiled and only a great person (thanks to the swapping of sweet tea, which is not sweet enough for a cola! . The young lady who brought out my food could have faked a smile and was a lot of friendlier.

Very cool and comfortable furnishings. The theme is really cool and so are the vibes. Overall, the service probably hit this establishment from 5 stars to 4. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great either. The food was good, but I feel like Poe's could only expand a little more on their menu to explore more options. Overall but, good place and good food.

It's so far you're done with your family! 6 children from 3 to 13 and 4 adults and everyone had something delicious to eat. Elizabeth is an absolute joy! Ask her if she's here. Seriously! We? ve has been here for over 15 years and that was the place to go!

Poe?s Tavern is good, but not great or fantastic. Nothing woke me. Good bar food. I enjoyed the buffalo shrimp salad. The shrimps were quite small, they did not seem fresh, were probably frozen. I'll say the blue cheese dressing was delicious. I also ordered one side of the Bacon Coleslaw and I enjoyed it because it was light and not the usual Mayo in it. My father got the Maui fish tacos and he said they were average and don't taste fresh. Not shown are two burgers we ordered and they were extremely rare, basically mooing? I probably wouldn't go back a second time, but I recommend if you were looking for something quick. No wait for 4th July weekend at noon.

Great atmosphere, open air seating in main area and outside tables with covered areas, nice large bar, large variety local brews in bottles and on tap. Top rated bar food, excellent burgers. Had Catawba White on tap and a Black Cat burger without bun and a tavern salad, excellent eats. The 1/2 burger had pimento cheese, drunken chili, fried onion curls with fixings. Not walking distance from the beach but worth the short drive.
