Bidrage med feedbackBeautiful country side not far from Gold Coast overlooking country golf club. Best to book of reservation on Sunday as wedid as the club was extremely busy due to a few functions on this particular Sunday. There was a plenty of atmosphere and entertainment .We had reserved our table for 12pm and order our lunch by 12.30pm lunch was very slow coming we waited almost 1 hr just a as well we were happy talking and catching up with our friend. Food was plentiful and well presented and all our meals arrived together. We had bit of a mix up with our coffees order large but received a small was told the price was the same for a large as a small could have been a little hotter.Loved the outlook and atmosphere of the Country Club would return again.
We ordered the winter roast. Our meal was so tiny to every one else's.We complained to Management and were accused of lying. They offered us a free dessert in compensation. We don't eat dessert. They agued the point that all meals were the same size. Well I am sorry. If we got what the table next to us got we would have not have complained. We left there hungry and angry.. Management argued the point then walked off. Found that to be very unprofessional. How dare you treat any valued customers in that way... Shame on you ....
We had the steak lunchtime special, cooked just right - chips nice and crispy, salad fresh. ...... I'd certainly recommend it
Impressed by the quality of the meals and the price. Meals were fresh, well presented and massive. If you are a fan of Schnitzel they have a large menu from a Parmi to a Mountie ( Schnitzel topped with Bacon and Maple syrup). The kids meals were $8 which also came with a drink and ice cream. My daughter ordered the kids chicken strips and chips. The chicken was chicken breast crumbed not the normal yucky processed stuff you normally get at a pub. The staff were also very friendly, nothing was too much trouble, even when the younger ones were running around the dining area like wild animals. The decor is simple and what you would expect to find at a small country pub. Overall I enjoyed our visit to the Tallai Country Club Restaurant and would definitely go again
Food is large but very average. Steaks are usually over cooked. One time I got three tiny pork bones really , hardly and meat..with a spit of sauce when you used to get a whole rack slathered in sauce. Prawns are those premade frozen ones. If you like chips they do that ok. Can't order food before 6 then you have to line up like cattle. When it's busy takes quite a while. The whole place needs a revamp including the menu. They are friendly and it's a nice outlook. Pot luck.
