Bidrage med feedbackWe stopped here at Red Bridge Motor Inn for a night before heading to Nambour Swapmeet. The Reception was friendly & informative on finding your room; room service & their onsite Restaurant called "Connexions Bar & Restaurant". All carparking is undercover at ground level outside your room.I booked a basic Queen room initially & on arrival we found we had been upgraded to an Executive room (same tariff) which contained a Supersized King bed.. almost had to catch a tram to kiss hubby goodnight wasa neat surprise! Room was fantastic clean & cosy warm room for the 2 of us. Also contained a single bed in corner of dining.Plenty of complimentary coffee/tea/sugar decent size fresh cream milk & even sealed biscuits.Reverse cycle heating was brilliant as it got quite cold quickly once sun disappeared this time of year.Shower was awesome; brilliant water pressure; great to see plenty of clean dark coloured linen (not silly white) including face washers & ample complimentary toiletries; was pleased tissue box was also full.We had dinner at their Restaurant it was pretty quiet (for a Fridaynight); probably about half a dozen people already seated when we arrived. We ordered 2x Roast Pork dinners which were very yummy & asked for Xtra Crackle which was accomodated for without a problem; so this made up for the 1 hour wait from ordering. The waitress Suzanne we thought was 'not quite with it'.. when we were trying to communicate with her.. she took my hubbys drink order & got his then came back for my order & went & got it..?? Not exactly sure what she was doing.. we have dined at many places & have never come across anything like this before. She made you wait unnecessarily for things when you didnt have to be waiting as I said it was a very quiet Restaurant.Overall was a brilliant lil place to stay; regardless of the waitress the Restaurant was nice & they even cater breakfasts both continental & fully cooked which could also be delivered to your room. No we didnt do Breakfast. We would go stay there again for sure.
This is also known as "Red Restaurant"This is quite a large restaurant but it looks quite bland and dated, even though it's only about 12 years old. There were only three other people dining in the evening I was there. The one waitress was very happy and friendly. Had their Fisherman's Plate wish I must state was basically just Fish & Chips with two Calamari rings. On their menu it was described as having:Battered Fish: This wasn't too bad and quite sizeable. Batter was thick. Crumbed Calamari: Clearly from a frozen pack and extremely lacking in taste. There were two of these. Seafood Mix: Not on my plate, zero, which was a disappointment, so I can't comment Tartare & Seafood Sauces:Obviously tipped straight out of a Woolworths home brand bottle. Chips: Pre-frozen cheapy home-brand and over crisp.Fresh salad which was good, but it's rather difficult to mess up lettuce leaves and mini tomatoes laced with a sprinkle of salad dressing oil. They do have a reasonable selection of wines and other beverages. When I paid for my meal I noticed the apparent manager berating the waitress over wine in the fridges, which seemed more important to that manager than her clientele. I definitely wouldn't hurry back for another meal here .
The food at this restaurant is incredibly tasty and the staff is exceptionally friendly. The prices are also very affordable considering the generous portion sizes. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and they serve the most amazing chocolate pudding.
The restaurant offers delicious food in a pleasant atmosphere, with friendly staff. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of service provided. The steak in particular was excellent.
We ate in this restaurant twice. the food was amazing. service was fast and the place was clean tidy and well presented.
