The Bear Cafe - Woodstock

Although we had a confirmed reservation for almost a week before the open table, we arrived to find the restaurant closed for several weeks for renovations. we had eaten and loved there before, it was the best steak I ever had, but appear to find a cold, dark, closed building was not welcome at all. I hope I will visit again sometime when it is open, but the restaurant will call personally to make sure that they will be opened next time in the opposite.

My man and I had the best time there. we had a late night reservation, and although we were too late (we came close almost before) the service was so great, no one showed us annoyed. the food was excellent. we had snuggles, ravioli and scallops . amazingggg! Mustels were really big and so generous! scallops took me away on the 7th sky. so delish! when I made a reservation, I decided for the place mostly because of its location (the bach,) but I realized when we were on the way to dinner that it would be difficult to appreciate it at night. but I was wrong. even if she could not see as clear as natural in daylight, it was still quite magical and unique! I love it there! all full of love and happiness

This was our first time in Woodstock, so we chose this restaurant based off of reviews. It didn’t disappoint. The restaurant is beautiful, and the photos do not do it justice. We were seated by the windows overlooking the stream, and it was quite romantic. The service was fantastic, friendly, and prompt. The drinks were wonderful as well. We wish we lived closer so we could go back! Such a pretty place for a special date.

The entrees (salmon and scallops) were well prepared and reasonably priced. However, $12 for a glass of prosecco and $3.50 for a cup of plain coffee seemed over the top. Service was efficient.

Wonderful food service and ambiance! We always have a great experience.
