Izumi Asian Bistro - Woodstock

Izumi is great and carmen (can be the manager/owner is the best! the first time I came, I asked for vegan/vegetarian options and she was so happy to work on the brand new vegetarian menu. I tried a few of them (removing some sauces to make vegan) and they were all spectacular! I recommend the one wrapped in gurke (a picture cannot remember the names.) I got it back when I went yesterday and carmen was so excited with the presentation that she asked to make photos before I disappeared. I love when people are proud of their work and are willing to make sure that vegan vegetarians are satisfied. she came back to check us out a few times to make sure everything was to our pleasure. we will definitely return! Please note that at the time of this review the vegetarian menu was still in the works, they may have to ask for someone who is aware that our waiter was not aware of it and that is when carmen came out to help.

Izumi is a great restaurant with fantastic options for vegan and vegetarian diners. Carmen, who may be the manager or owner, is wonderful and goes above and beyond to ensure her guests are satisfied. The first time I visited, I inquired about vegan/vegetarian choices and Carmen was delighted to share their newly created vegetarian menu. I sampled a few dishes, modified to be vegan by removing certain sauces, and they were all delicious. I especially recommend the dish wrapped in cucumber, although I can't remember the name. When I left, Carmen was so enthusiastic about the presentation that she asked to snap some photos before I departed. It's clear that she takes pride in her work and is dedicated to ensuring vegan and vegetarian diners have a great experience. She checked in on us multiple times to make sure everything was to our liking. Despite some initial confusion from our waiter, Carmen stepped in to assist us with the vegetarian menu, as it was still a work in progress at the time of my visit. We will definitely be returning to Izumi in the future!
