Poquito Mas - Woodland Hills

I’m real fussy about my Mexican food. The food here is really quite good for a small chain restaurant. I like their chicken tostada with pinto beans. Very flavorful. I get mine without the shell with tortillas on the side. So tasty!

My family and I order from there quite often. I would say 2 to 3 times a month. Not a month goes by where this establishment does not in some way mess up our order. Either they don't make the food correctly or we incur a missing item, or we get there and the food is not made by the time stated or the food hasn't even been prepared at all and we end up having to wait for our food to be made. It is truly disturbing how neglectful the management is. Today our order which was placed online was supposed to be ready at 8:00. My wife showed up at 8:15 to pick up the order and the order hadn't even been made yet. The person working behind the counter had no idea the order had even been placed until they searched for it.

If you are looking for tasteless and watery refried beans in Los Angeles, this is the restaurant for you. My burrito was filled with beans that oozed out like melted ice cream. The taco was also lacking in flavor despite being topped with various toppings. The salsas at the salsa bar were unmarked, so I had to try them all to find one that was decent. The green salsa was okay, but the others were flavorless. The neon orange salsa should be avoided as it is flavorless but spicy. The only flavorful items were the drinks at the soda fountain and the few tortilla chips they offered.

I wish there were more locations, especially near me in the Pasadena area. Whenever I have the opportunity to visit their Burbank or Woodland Hills location, I always take advantage. Their hand-crafted tortillas and fresh ingredients create delicious burritos that I always look forward to. I would definitely recommend it.

Good place for a quick tacos or burritos meal. One warning is that a few of the dishes are very hot, to the point of being unenjoyable to me (shrimp tacos San Lucas for one).
