Akita - Woodbridge

I discovered maggots in my food and the manager did not take any action to address the issue, while the employees appeared disgusted. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

I saw that there weren't any recent reviews of this restaurant on Tripadvisor, so I wanted to share my experience. We visited on Mother's Day and it was fantastic. The hot food was served hot, the cold food was cold, and the service was excellent. The Akita rolls, which are a specialty of the restaurant, were absolutely delicious. As a delightful bonus, all the mothers were able to choose a carnation to take home with them. It was a wonderful experience overall.

We have visited various sushi restaurants, and my son has been to even more than we have, but this one is definitely the best. While I enjoy sushi, I also like to indulge in other dishes such as tempura, beef noodles, rice, spring rolls, and sesame chicken. My family particularly enjoys the wings, while my husband and boys rave about the sashimi, claiming it is the best they have ever had. We typically go for lunch as it is more affordable, yet still offers a wide selection of items on the menu. My 18-year-old son appreciates the iPads provided for ordering, especially when he is out with his friends or with us, as it eliminates any language barrier issues. The restaurant has ample seating, although weekends may be busy and require a short wait. Parking is plentiful, but the restaurant is located in a busy strip plaza alongside other well-known establishments such as Wendy's, Tim Hortons, La Paloma, and Denny's. On weekends, it seems to be a popular hangout spot for teenagers, who gather in the Tim Hortons/Wendy's parking lot.

Food is absolutely disgusting. Service is pathetic. Nicely told the manager the food was cold and told me it was our fault for eating slow, and not to come back again. She was very rude and defensive that the food was bad. Didn’t even apologize and we ended up paying $25 a person for eating nothing. NEVER eating here again, ever.

Food is good. Service is fast. Ordered our food on the iPad and it came to the table within a minute of submitting our order. Clean location. Can't complain.
