Bidrage med feedbackLovely end to our visit to Wolfsberg. All dishes cooked fresh in open kitchen, vegetables nice and crunchy. I had prawn Pad Thai which was tasty. My husband had the red curry which he also enjoyed.
Expecting a more street food like entity, the German word "Imbiss" would suggest it wrong. Here we have a full sized restaurant, the only thing that's reminding on fast food is the laminated menu and the take away option. It is really worth not to pull that option but staying and enjoying the meal there. The food, again other than expected, is an interpretation of Asian culture, perfectly adapted to fit European taste while being authentic in preparation and seasoning. Everything is prepared at an incomparable high quality level, presentation is also much closer to a 5-star restaurants than to an "Imbiss". The first visit came with even more surprises, seafood cooked to perfection and my request for having it "extra spicy" was fulfilled as well. For the area that's pretty unusual, sweet chili sauce would be declared too spicy by the means of a typical restaurant. The kitchen is totally open, I can only imagine the hassle to get this approved by local food safety authorities. For a bottom line it is absolutely worth a visit.
There is a new number 1 restaurant in town! I heard about this new Thai restaurant opening from several friends, all saying that it was good. I visited with my wife for a Sunday evening meal.First impression is that the restaurant is exceptionally clean, modern and lots of space. There is trendy bench seating indoors and deck seating outdoors. Inside is a large show kitchen where you can see your food being prepped and cooked. We experienced friendly and prompt service and were soon browsing the menu with drinks in our hand.We chose starters (Prawn skewers in garlic and Chicken Sate), for mains a red chicken curry and a green chicken curry. My wife also chose the dessert of the day which was a banana fritter with ice cream. I had a beer and a small glass of wine, whilst my wife chose a couple of white wine spritzers. All courses were delicious. The food was presented with flair, the ingredients were fresh and zingy. Everything was delicious. I asked for my Thai red curry very spicy, and that's exactly what I got.Everything we experienced was top drawer here. Service, food, presentation and price. All 3 courses including drinks and we had plenty of change from 50 euro's - now that was a pleasant surprise for food of this quality. In addition to eating in, we noticed that the kitchen also had a constant stream of orders for take-away. It's a real pleasure to be able to sit and watch a good, busy kitchen operate.Nawa has made it to our new number 1 restaurant in Wolfsberg and we will be back trying the other dishes on the menu.
