The John Masefield - WIRRAL

I have visited this restaurant on multiple occasions and the food is consistently delicious. During my last visit, I ordered the chargrilled lemon and herb half chicken, along with a mini warm cookie dough sandwich topped with ice cream. The price of £11.10 for a meal, drink, and dessert was definitely reasonable.

Table service only so waited 10 minutes before I could attract a passing member of staff to take our order. Then it was another 20 minutes before the drinks arrived. The place was only half full and staff were working hard so I think its a management issue. Only 1 person behind the bar that you're not allowed to go to.

Ok , so we gave it ago this afternoon. Got to say we are very disappointed , ordered a full meal and drinks. Food great then to be told after our 3rd drink we could only have one more. Ok we understand the rules, tried to order a bottle of wine to share for our 4th drink, only to be told we would have to take it home with us. No problem , rules are rules. The trouble is with these rules are , order on your app which you are meant to do , like we did , you are accountable for how many drinks you have. Pay cash and have as many drinks you want !! We watched , a gentleman had 7 pints , paid cash, oh he did order a panini and left it !! So doing our best to get out and help you Weatherspoons .You made us feel so unwelcome uncomfortable , thanks . Won’t be visiting you again in a hurry.

A great meeting place, centrally placed for public transport. Excellent range of cask and real ales.

Ok beer but smells of families. Just came for a beer really. Trip advisor forced me to type a hundred words, which wasn't necessary.
