Butcher Bull - Winston-Salem

The service at this restaurant was incredibly friendly, but unfortunately the food was extremely disappointing. The only decent dish was the side salad, which was average. The pulled chicken sandwich was dry and unsatisfying. Even the banana pudding was bland and unappealing. Although the staff was kind and welcoming, the food did not meet our expectations at all.

I was not expecting what I received when I came to this restaurant with a group of 8 for a birthday dinner. We started with the cheese dip as an appetizer and I ordered the salmon as my main course, along with an orange blossom drink. The appetizer and drink were fantastic, but unfortunately, the entree was underwhelming and something I could have easily cooked at home. It lacked flavor and was quite plain. The food took about 40 minutes to arrive, but our waiter was very pleasant. I also tried my fiancé's dish, which was the 12 oz ribeye, and it was not up to par.

Reading all of the great reviews, I thought eating at Butcher Bull Steakhouse would be an awesome idea. At first it seemed like we made a good decision choosing this place because the waiter; sorry forgot his name but he was super friendly and very attentive to us. Lovely restaurant for a date night. There was no host so we stood around for about 5 minutes, but what restaurant isn?t understaffed?? Food was everything we hoped it would be.
