The food is excellent, that being said;<br/ <br/ The woman working the front counter is a terror. Insulted my fiancee one time making an off handed comment about our relationship, and has taken my order down wrong and claimed I was mistaken when several other people heard me place the order and confirmed she was at fault. Refused to do anything to fix it. She will also make you wait for your pickup order even if you can see it sitting there. I used to eat here regularly, but now find it such a hassle dealing with her I barely go anymore.

Great service, the lady that works the register is very friendly! Great rotis! I deeply recommend trying everything in their menu and especially the chicken roti.

A great little gem in Winnipeg! Walking in I felt like I was in someone’s house. The server was super friendly and walked us through the menu. Food was delicious and full of flavour! Ox tail was juicy and tasty, the roti was very yummy! Great place to try if you want to experience spice! Will be back for sure!

I had lunch at The Swizzle Styx yesterday and it was amazing! The restaurant is small, clean, and has a great Caribbean atmosphere with music playing. Our server Michelle (Mikey) was fantastic, funny, and knew the menu well. We tried all four appetizers and they were all superb. The elk, goat, and shrimp roti were delicious, with a tasty salad on the side. We even tried the camel and it was great! Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience and I can't wait to go back. In October 2018, we returned to The Swizzle Styx and once again the food was incredibly delicious. I think we may become regular customers.

We recently discovered this restaurant and have visited twice. Though we are somewhat unfamiliar with Caribbean cuisine, the owner/manager (a woman) provided excellent service during our first visit. She guided us through the menu, explained dishes, and made recommendations, which made for a pleasant experience. We tried doubles for the first time and were amazed at how delicious they were. We had a veggie roti and shrimp roti, both of which were very tasty and generously portioned. The accompanying salad, made with a mix of vegetables and seasonal tropical fruit, was one of the best salads we've ever had. On our second visit, the service lacked warmth and seemed robotic. However, we received our food promptly, which included a chicken roti and mixed veggie roti that were equally delicious. We would recommend trying the roti from the menu, as there are many varieties to choose from. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and look forward to trying more dishes from the menu.
