Bidrage med feedbackThe food at this restaurant is delicious and beautifully presented. The waitress was very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. I highly recommend this restaurant and can't wait to go back. (I bought a voucher through OurDeal). There was so much food that we struggled to finish the last two dishes!
My wife purchased vouchers for a restaurant based on a review she read. Unfortunately, when we arrived on a Sunday night, the restaurant was closed for renovations. We were greeted by four arrogant men who said they were closed. Disappointed, we decided to try another restaurant called Toykyo Tina, which turned out to be the best decision. We also received a refund from the voucher company. Overall, I would not recommend the original restaurant.
We had dined at this restaurant before and had purchased some voucher deals to bring some friends for a tasting menu. However, the restaurant had changed ownership since our last visit. Despite encountering difficulty in securing a reservation, we were able to book a table for last night (15/5) over two weeks in advance. After driving for an hour and a half from Warragul to the restaurant, we arrived to find a notice on the window stating that the restaurant was closed for cleaning. We were forced to quickly find another place to dine with our friends. When I reached out to the owner, I was informed that it was the responsibility of the voucher seller to inform me of the closure, not him. No apology was given. The establishment appeared unclean, leaving us to wonder why it had closed so abruptly.
Very tasty and well presented food. The waitress was extremely warm and welcoming and very attentive, without being obtrusive. Would definitely recommend this restaurant and can't wait to dine there again. (Voucher purchased through OurDeal). There was so much food, it was difficult to get through the last two dishes!
We went for dinner there mid week and managed to find some meter parking close by in a parking lot, as everywhere else was full on. The restaurant itself has an old café feel about it with pressed metal, high ceilings, timber furniture, fireplace and a front counter. There was ourtyard dining as well but we elected to stay indoors due to the weather. We were the only ones dining in that night so we had the full attentiveness of the staff, including a call when were running late for our booking (looking for a carpark!) to see if we were ok. The service was great, the menu explained, and the meal was delivered in a timely but not rushed pace. The options from our voucher through "our deal" saw us start with a selection of tapas and entrees, which were really tasty and plentiful, before we moved onto the mains. Whilst the food is middle eastern, it is different from your standard Turkish/Lebanese fare, with a nice use of different flavours and ingredients. The lamb was beautifully tender and the hotpot presentation really spot on. The vegetables were tasty with a nice hint of spice. The vegetarian selection was similarly good as were he seafood and chicken dishes. More traditional desserts to follow included baklava and turkish delight, Prices were quite reasonable and serving sizes generous. The beer, spirits and wine list was also reasonably priced with a good selection available. You can BYO as well. So, for an inexpensive dinner with a difference, Ten Lost Tribes does it really well. Definitely worth a return visit.
