Walkers Restaurant - Windsor

This foodie enjoys all sorts of dining but a favorite is any local spot with simple food. This is doubly true after a long day of travel. The staff greeted us and made us feel welcome. We enjoyed ample “lighter fare” portions of clam strips with Caesar salads that made the drive ahead in bad weather much easier. I wish more towns had diners that are unpretentious and inexpensive like this spot. I hope to return for breakfast.

The waitresses were wonderful!!!! the seafood chowder is watery and no flavour. The fries are great. the burgers were all burnt. the fish was wonderful. the pepper on the eggs were so much you couldnt see the egg (ask if we want pepper). the portions were huge for the great price. But I was soooooooo VERY DISAPPOINTED. I was hoping it was better than the previous owners and I love Mom Pop type restaurants. Sorry I wish I could find more positives.

Our favourite restaurants in Windsor were busy so we went here. They were able to handle a family of seven. Not much in the way of fresh food. Frozen mixed veg came mixed in rice although specifically asked for “no rice”. Bland tasting food . Server was very nice and helpful.

My wife and myself went for B-Fast. I had the full breakfast which was 2 eggs, toast and 4 x sausages. My wife had the poached eggs and toast. It was great food and service. Great coffee with free refills. Prices were very good and service very pleasant. Moved here a few months ago and will come back to this gem to eat again. Thank you from Tony and Catherine!

Sensational spot to stop and have a bite to eat. You can always find something different. The staff are courteous and friendly.
