The George In Rye - Winchelsea

We had a wonderful time at George Grill Restaurant in Rye for my partner's birthday. Amazing food and service!

Steak is just the best, the whole meal was perfect.

Stayed on George for our anniversary and loved everything there! Dinner was fantastic. Will definitely return

A beautiful culinary experience. Very busy as expected from a Saturday summer evening. Nice food. Service well, although some communication difficulties.

Service 5*food 3*. Attentive service but quality of food let it down. Advised to have rib eye steak rather than cheaper steak as when medium to well done might be tough! Avoid sea bass which was skinny and swimming in oil on top of sliced potatoes. When complained next lot of fish was also thin and part raw. Dessert was tasty but minuscule. Quality of meal do not justify price. Sea bass at £19 should have been excellent and was poor. Would not come here again.
