Montague Inn - Wincanton

Beautiful place, nice staff, good landscape and outdoor area. many parking places, dogs allowed in the bar (although I don't think the area at the back tables to eat in the bar area). it is only at the end of the lock-off so that they only have a fresh beer on that 's understandable, the wee that we had was pretty good and the list seemed a pretty good overall choice (I am not an expert, but my friend seemed satisfied). I had the pheasant, ham and lick short crust cake (foto is halfway through, it is not a great photo, but tastes very good). not small, but also not American, exactly right. would definitely go back.

Apart from one of the natives who were rude when my wife wanted to apologise and he just sat there, he had to block him a little. sean is a large renter, with friendly staff and great eating. we have been in the opposite and not the strange ignorant local. you always get one.

Eating was really nice, especially veggie choices. the menu has been aligned to those who wanted a complete lunch, so no easy bite options, but a combination of a starter and a side salad did the trick. the service was attentive and friendly and the beer well maintained. a warning - the publicist came by the end and complained that the open table had him 2 pounds per head and we had booked for 6 but only 4 people had come. we at the beginning apologized for the lack of our friends, and we had already committed ourselves to a 10% tip to bring the costs to around £20 per head. So we had a little demoralized feeling.

Excellent lunch with sean and staff we will go back

A new dinner visit in the montague inn for the 89th birthday of my mother was a definitive success! there are many parking spaces and the entrance is on the apartment. our booked table was near the fire where there was enough space to reach the table. we were immediately served by helpful waitresses with delicious dips from a menu that was wide but without too much choice. the pub has a comfortable, busy ambiente and tables are space in the wise that you do not overhear the conversations of others. in all very positive experiences.
