With views of the lake and the gardens is a modern and wonderful restaurant. we had the 4-course tasting menu, the fresh oyster, marron in a suppe, a beef-denderloin cooked perfectly delicate and chocolate muddle cake with ice as dessert. cooking was good and straight. no frills and great tasting dishes. service was good and friendly. the price is at the higher level.
The photo shows the dining room with white tablecloths, not true. in our case had gray tablecloths and only a few tables this. breakfast medium. dinner menu very limited, fine eating it is not. personal nice enough, but obviously more used to neat eating clients....price for what it is.
Dined here as part of our dinner, bed and breakfast package. had 3 course set course that had marron and osso bucco on the menu. that was delicious.
Attended their French fish cookery demo recently . Chef Tony was both inspiring and entertaining . So many useful tips; great to admire his expertise. Luxurious setup. Then marron and pork belly for lunch with view of ducks on dam. Went home with a case...of their Sauv Blanc. Great day out .
